The probably best international database on road accidents is the IRTAD database (International Road and Traffic Data Base), maintained by the German Federal Highway Research Institute (Bundesanstalt für Strassenwesen, BASt) on behalf of the OECD. Key figures from this data base can be accessed from the homepage of the BASt (http://.www.bast.de).
